We're Hiring a Part-Time Sales Associate & Buyer!

Editor is looking for a Sales Associate & Buyer to work 4 days per week including Sundays. Our clothing consignment shop is located in one of Seattle’s most charming pocket neighborhoods with neighbors like Delancey, Frankie & Jo’s, Rosellini’s, and The Pantry, forming a uniquely friendly and supportive community.

Overview: At Editor, we strive to create a one-of-a-kind consignment experience. We aim to provide excellent customer service, a curated collection with a focus on independent and sustainable designers, and boutique-level styling and merchandising. We are looking for someone to join our small team and help us cultivate our growing community of customers and consignors. 

Who we're looking for: The ideal candidate is someone who will thrive in the front of the house as a sales associate and who can also transition to back-end buying as needed. They thrive in a fast-paced customer service role that requires independence, self-motivation and the ability to think on their feet. They love keeping up with the latest independent and sustainable designers and vintage fashion trends, excel at merchandising new products and creating displays, and have some buying or curation experience under their belt. 

Schedule: This position has a set, 4-day-per-week schedule, with occasional variations to accommodate vacations and holidays. The schedule is: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

Role Responsibilities: 

  • Welcome, assist, and interact with customers and consignors

  • Operate the point of sale system

  • Keep sales floor clean and running smoothly

  • Communicate consignment and shop policies with consignors and customers verbally and through email

  • Work with buying team to sort and process new consignment following Editor’s buying guidelines 

  • Use consignor software system to manage consignor inventory and check consignor account balances

  • Pull, package, and track online orders

  • Steam and detail new products

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years experience in fast-paced customer service

  • 1+ years experience in buying for a resale shop OR experience in brand curation or buying where decisions were based on customer and sales data and research

  • Introductory knowledge of slow fashion, independent designers and sustainable and vintage fashion

  • Must be able to work Sundays

  • Merchandising and styling experience is a plus!

Compensation:

  • Starting wage of $22-$23, DOE

  • Yearly cost of living raises

  • All shifts are 8 hours and include a 30 minute paid lunch break

  • 20% Employee Discount;

  • 10% additional Consigner Split;

  • Employees earn 1 hour PTO for every 40 hours worked
